This is a student thesis film. About a teenage boy who escapes into his imagination after the death of his mother. This imagination depicts him making preparations to go to the beach with his mother, as they never got to do in life. Unfortunately, the memory won’t let him ignore it.
Seeking: MALES 18-24 years old
LEAD ROLE
BEN: Is 15 years old. Solemn, and more serious than his peers, he feels very separated and different from his peers due to the way his mother struggles to make ends meet. He is in denial of his mother’s death and desperately tries to fulfill the aspirations they had in her life. Need a male who looks younger than his age.
FEMALE, 30-45 years old
SUPPORTING ROLE
JUNE: is an overworked nurse. She is awaiting her diagnosis about the spots on her lungs. She puts on a brave face, and fiercely loves her son. She’s tough, clean and organized but struggles under the bill and work hours. Hair and makeup will be provided to transform you into a weathered haggard woman.
