The SyFy Network special effects and makeup competition “Face Off” is looking for make up and special effects artists nationwide to compete in this very unique reality competition show.
Face Off will be coming back for season 8 and is looking for the hottest SFX artists in America to join the cast. If you can transform a model into a monster, this may be the perfect show for you.
Face Off airs on the Syfy network and challenges makeup special effects artists to transform models into the characters that you may catch in science fiction and horror films.
McKenzie Westmore of the Westmore family of makeup artists is the show’s host. The shows judges and panel deciding who wins and who loses are Academy Award-winning makeup artist Ve Neill (Ed Wood, Mrs. Doubtfire), concept artist Neville Page (Watchmen, Avatar) and television and film makeup artist Glenn Hetrick (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Babylon 5).
The show also brings on various guest judges from the film and special effects industry.
If you want a chance to be considered for the show you will need to get your application in ASAP because casting for season 8 closes on March 31st.
