AVA DEXTER
Best friends to GIA, STEPHANIE and SHAUNA-A dreamer, A TYPE personality, perfectionist, sharp. Adores her friends and family.
CORI
Friend and co-worker of JO & MATTY-Over the top, in your face overbearing & unprofessional in every sense of the word.
JO
Friend and co-worker of MATTY & CORI-Likes to stay under the radar, doesn’t ever pick a side really. Will sometimes join in to poke fun and stir up the pot…undercover instigator.
MATTY
Friend and co-worker of JO & CORI-Likes to give CORI a hard time & put her on blast but all in fun. Strong. Not a push over but certainly unprofessional.
GIA STOKES
Best friends to AVA, STEPHANIE and SHAUNA-Very lively, funny and dramatic. Will go hard for her friends.
SHAUNA LOMBARD
Best friends to AVA, STEPHANIE and GIA-Up front, honest but nurturing, no stranger to sacrifice. Very straight forward.
STEPHANIE CHAMBERS
Best friends to AVA, GIA and SHAUNA-A woman of few words but when she does speak she’s profound. Sincere, sensitive & a sweetheart.
CHORUS/SINGERS
In need of ACTRESSES ONLY! Preferably 21 & over (Our 21 & over request has no reflection on HAPPINESS for SURVIVAL’s content, as this is a family production…it is mostly due to our storyline)
SINGERS are encouraged to audition as well. CHORUS MUST BE STRONG.
We ask that all talent applying have RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.
We are also in need of UNDERSTUDIES for each CHARACTER/CHORUS MEMBER.
HEADSHOTS/RESUMES ARE REQUIRED…If in fact you do not have a professional 8×10 headshot we ask that you bring a clear photo of yourself with only YOU in the photo. If you do not have an established RESUME, as you are what we call “A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH”, meaning you have LOTS of talent but have never showcased it on stage before…we ask that you come in with your NAME, NUMBER, EMAIL & a brief description of your interest(s)/ability in acting typed on white paper attached to your photo.
SIDES WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE AUDITION.
If you wish to receive the sides prior to the audition & would like the option of requesting a specific time slot on the day of our AUDITIONS…Please specify which character you are interested in reading for as well as the time slot you prefer when you send your HEADSHOTS/RESUMES to HappinessForSurvival@gmail.com
Be advised that requesting a specific time does not automatically guarantee it. We will do our best to accommodate everyone.
Come prepared with a monologue &/or song not to exceed 3 minutes.
