Sledgehammer Theatre Presents: “Heaven on Earth” by Charles Mee in association with La Jolla Playhouse

Sledgehammer Theater, in association with La Jolla Playhouse, is casting the west coast premiere of “Heaven on Earth” by Charles L. Mee. The site-specific production will be presented as part of the 2015 WOW (Without Walls) Festival on the University of California, San Diego campus in La Jolla, October 8-11, 2015. Stipends provided for all performers. Rehearsals will begin August 15.
Please note, performers will need to be available for full day weekend rehearsals through opening, along with some weeknight rehearsals, as needed. For more information and to schedule an audition, please contact artist@sledgehammer.org
CASTING NEEDS
4-5 MALES – Actors of various types between the ages of 18 – 100. All but one or two of the male actors will need to move very well and/or have some dance experience. Singing a plus, but not required. Partial nudity may be required for some roles.
4 FEMALES – Actresses of various types between the ages of 18-100. All but one or two of the actresses will need to move very well and/or have some dance experience. Singing a plus, but not required. Partial nudity may be required for some roles.
1 FEMALE DANCER – Will consider all body types. Should have experience in various dances forms with a strong background in modern and post-modern dance.
1 FEMALE SINGER – Can sing anything from a torch song to rock n roll to avant garde. Open-minded and flexible.
