These are the auditions for the workshop and staged reading of the new musical “Bremer’s Moving Picture Musical Dictionary,”  by Allen Feinstein. Further details can be found below.

This project offers actors in the Boston area opportunities to work with professionals in the field and participate in the early stages of the creation of a new musical. We hope you will join us! For more information, and to reserve an audition slot, please email: bremersmusical@gmail.com.

Tuesday, May 19, 6:30-9 PM
Thursday, May 21, 6:30-9 PM
Tuesday, May 26, 6:30-9 PM

Please come prepared with a short monologue and 16 to 32 bars of music. You can bring sheet music or email your karaoke track to: bremersmusical@gmail.com.

The workshops will take place Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Northeastern University, 7 pm to 9pm. They will culminate in a staged reading at Northeastern University on June 30th, from 7-10 pm.

BREMER’S MOVING PICTURE MUSICAL DICTIONARY
1907, New York City—A prodigy concert pianist and her grandmother escape their tormenter, and find a home at a small vaudeville theater in New York as the silent film era begins and a new era in entertainment begins with it. Directors invent the language of film, vaudevillians become movie stars, and musicians bring the movies to life. This new musical explores the world of a community of artists and entrepreneurs that helped film evolve from a curiosity to a cultural force.

Cast is seven men, three women; all ages will be considered for each role.

ALLEN FEINSTEIN is an award-winning composer and Music Supervisor of Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals.
