Synopsis:
An “Urban Fantasy”, dramatically told story, about life’s often unnoticed interconnectivity, the everlasting effects that occur during the childhood nurturing stages, and how societal pressures, often, regrettably, navigate us away from our Inner Passions. Though mentored, guided, and inspired, by a few exceptionally wise, and seemingly, “Old Souls”, an extraordinary young Boy, will tragically throw it all away.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
- Aiden (boy) Caucasian age range 10-12. Fairly reserved. a bit trapped, deep into his own thoughts, more often than not. Very emotional role. Must have great acting skills and ability to cry on cue. Strong monologue; but no profanity.
- •Aiden (adult), Caucasian .age 35. Still has the same foundational characteristics’ as a young boy, however; he is no longer able to break free from his inner demons.
- •The Mentor Caucasian (Age: 61) (Michael Caine type) Loveable, sweet, sincere, and extremely wise, Grandfather Type figure.
- Mama. African American (Age: 56) – Mid-Town Coffee Shop Waitress. “Mama” is a full figured, well fed, African American woman, every bit of 50 years old, with Confidence, Compassion, Wisdom’ storytelling.
- Marissa Caucasian, Italian, Mix race. (Age: 30) – Aiden’s Wife. Italian woman, Fiery and relentless.
- Jake Caucasian (Age range 10-12) – Aiden’s Best Friend as (young boy). Understanding, and is deep enough to empathize, and encourage his friend.
- John Caucasian (Age: 37) – Jake’s Father. John is a Father figure to all of Jake’s friends, a simple man, but kind.
- Timothy Caucasian (Age range: 8-9) – Aiden’s (adult) son. Aiden’s Son will be a “Mama’s boy”, and will be very expressive in the fact that he relies on Marissa for everything. (This is a small role, but critical.)
- Jones African American (Age: 38) – Aiden’s (adult) Friend. (Forrest Whitaker Type) Jones is Aiden’s one and only, true friend at the foundry. He is a very kind, and compassionate character.
- Carolyn Caucasian (Age: 54) – Aiden’s Mother.
- Unnamed Foundry Workers – THREE (3) Aiden’s Co-Workers/ “Lunch Time Companions”
Background Actors: All ethnicities, age range 21-65. Need 25 background actors to portray Small Town” Coffee House Patrons, Foundry & Machine Shop Workers, and extras for General Towns People
