Casting Actors for Live Art Exhibit in NYC – Paid Roles

Creative Time will be holding an open casting call in the NYC area for actors who would like to participate in paid performances this summer in Central Park.

The shows will consist of  large-scale, highly public re-enactments of scenes from famous movies shot in Central Park.

This summer, as part of an eight artist group exhibition with Central Park Conservancy, Creative Time is working with artist David Levine to reinsert iconic Central Park film scenes into the park using live actors in original locations, transforming the whole park into a cinematic backdrop of classic moments come to life. We are currently looking for actors to be a part of the exhibition.

There are several roles available, both male and female ranging from 20s-60s+.

Rehearsals begin in early May, to be scheduled with the actors. (approx. six-ten hours) Preview on May 14, 10am-12pm. Performances will be every Friday & Saturday from May 15-June 20, 12-6pm in Central Park, NYC.

Creative Time is a public art nonprofit with a 40 year history of commissioning iconic projects in New York City, including the 9/11 memorial Tribute in Light and this past summer’s exhibition with Kara Walker in the old Domino Sugar Factory on the Williamsburg waterfront.
