The Lakeland Civic Chorus, sponsored by Lakeland Community College, is hosting an open call for all singers to perform in their 2015-2016 season.
The open call will be at our first rehearsal 7:30 – 9:30pm on Tuesday, August 25th in the music room (C-1078) on the LCC campus.
Performances are scheduled for October 25 and December 6, 2014, and April 17, 2015. Rehearsals are 7:30 – 9:30pm Tuesday evenings in the music room beginning August 25th.
The Lakeland Civic Chorus performs all styles of music ranging from medieval chant to contemporary compositions for a traditional SATB (soprano, alto, tenor bass) choral ensemble, as well as pieces written specifically for women’s voices (SSA) or men’s voices (TTBB).
Leonard DiCosimo has been named the new Director of the Lakeland Civic Chorus. He is the President of the Cleveland Federation of Musicians, Local 4 and the Director of Music Ministry at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Tremont.
DiCosimo has served on the conducting faculty at Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music where he directed the Women’s Choir, College and Motet Choirs, taught conducting courses and coached chamber ensembles.
