New Cooking Channel show “Cake Hunters”.
Cooking Channel’s Cake Hunters is seeking interesting couples/families/friends in the process of planning a large event for upcoming episodes in the Maryland /DC area. The show is also seeking to cast cake designers / bakers in the area.

Cooking Channel’s hot new show ‘Cake Hunters’ is looking for families, couples and friends planning a major event and in need of an innovative and delicious cake. Let your next large party-be it birthday, wedding, anniversary or shower- be the opportunity to take your love of cake and turn it into TV gold!
Our buyers will visit three distinct bakeries in the area. The cake designers will present them with a sample tasting and design of the cake they’ll be making for the special occasion. The bakery chosen as the buyer’s favorite will create the cake of your dreams, all paid for by the Cooking Channel.

The premise of the show deals with people searching for the perfect cake for their event. Any large event (besides Corporate & Holiday themed) will work–weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, mitzvahs, showers, etc. The clients we seek should have the following characteristics:
- Ages Late 20’s-40’s
- Charismatic, upbeat, bold personalities
- LOVE CAKE and believe the cake is a critical element to their event
- More than 1 person is in charge of planning the event (team effort)
For clients featured in the episode, we pay for the cake they choose – which should be the cake of their dreams!
We introduce the client(s) to three cake designers who each prepare, based on video and written information about the client’s wants and needs, a sketch and a sample cake that represent what his/her final creation would look like. The client chooses one of the three designs, and we follow the process of creating that cake and revealing it at the event. For cake designers whose cakes are not chosen, there is a possibility of being featured in other episodes.
We’re looking for cake designers that:
- Create custom cakes for large events–weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and more
- Have a storefront (and/or showroom and/or tasting room) and bakery/kitchen in the same location or nearby
- Work with a team of people
- Have an upbeat personality & love to share their beautiful work with the world
The time frame for filming is January 2016-Early April 2016, so the event must take place during that time.
