Independent film to be shot in the Dallas/North Dallas/Denton area. Production will begin on 03/6/2015 and should wrap on 03/16/2015. Auditions will be held at University of North Texas, RTVF Building, Room 180F.
“Kam” is produced by Issa Currie and is written / directed by Kolby Howard.
Synopsis: A man addicted to love searches for a way to come out of his shell and find the one.
Character Breakdowns:
Kameron Wilson
General Appearance: (age 21-25) African American overweight man who has a hard time controlling his sweat glands. He has a hard time breathing and walking sometimes. His clothes are usually baggy. Internal Plot: He has been shy his whole life and has never had the best social skills and wants to open up to the world. External Plot: He is addicted to love and wants to find someone he can call his own.
Mr. Timothy Hanks
General Appearance: (age 40-50) He is a Caucasian muscular man, very in shape for his age. Has old army tattoo on right arm. He wears glasses. Has a country accent. Internal Plot: He needs to spread knowledge of relationships to others so he learns himself as years go on how to keep his own relationship fresh. External Plot: To help Kam and others get over their social anxieties and help them get out into the world.
Sydney
General Appearance: (age 20-25) She is a very attractive woman with a very outgoing personality. Internal Plot: Slowly breaking out of her own sense of shyness. External Plot: To go up to someone and strike up a conversation and actually get to know them.
Stacey “Cinnamon” Lovett
General Appearance: (age 20-30) She is a model type who always wears designer clothes. Internal Plot: Wants to become a model and escape the world she is living and get away from her family. External Plot: To help Kam with is problems and be a good friend to him.
Devin Wison
General Appearance: (age 40-50) African American male, skinny with a heavy Texas accent. He has long hair and wears glasses. Internal Plot: Wanted a better son and was not happy to be in living situation he was in with being married. External Plot: To go and find a way to be a better father to Kam.
Vanessa Wilson
General Appearance: (age 40-50) African American female, she has long black/grey hair with a mole on her left side cheek. Internal Plot: Wants to leave Devin and start a new life but stays together with him for Kameron. External Plot: To find an outlet to vent her anger.
Jennifer Hanks
General Appearance: (age 20-25) Hispanic/White, very beautiful, long hair, walks with purpose, has dimples when she smiles, has a pierced nose. Internal Plot: Feels pressure from her mother to get married and is worried that she will keep going out with the wrong guys. External Plot: To find a guy that has different qualities about him that differ from the typical guys that have been thrown at her.
Men and Women between the ages of 18-21 for the dream scene.
