New Captain America 3 movie is casting in the Atlanta area
Captain America 3 which is called Civil War is beginning production in Atlanta and casting calls have begun for extras.
The Marvel Studios film will be the 3rd installment in the Captain America franchise. The new Captain America movie follows 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger and last years Captain America: The Winter Soldier. “Captain America: Civil War” will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The movie’s screenplay is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Chris Evans returns as Captain America. Also in the cast are Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo. Production of “Captain America 3” begins this April in Atlanta. The film is also reportedly shooting in Puerto Rico and Berlin. Recent reports state that “Captain America 3” will be using the name Sputnik while in production in Atlanta
The new Captain film will take us into a war amongst the good guys. A difference of opinions between Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) causes a rift in the group of superheroes which causes the rest of the group to pick sides in what escalates into an all out battle. According to the films IMDB page – “Following the events of the Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.”
Captain America: Civil War is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2016. Marvel actually has a serious line-up for the next 2 years. According to a screenrant report, The Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1 2015, followed by Ant-Man on July 17 2015, Captain America: Civil War on May 6 2016, Doctor Strange on November 4 2016, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 on May 5 2017, Thor: Ragnarok on July 28, 2017, Black Panther on November 3 2017, Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 on May 4 2018, Captain Marvel on July 6 2018, Inhumans on November 2 2018 and Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2 on May 3 2019.
The projects extras casting directors are Tammy Smith Casting and they have just released a casting call for SouthEast Asian extras in the Atlanta area who are available to in late April. As production gets closer we will most likely see many more casting calls for Captain America: Civil War. Be sure to also check out all the other movies and TV shows filming in Atlanta.
