The comedy “Michelle Darnell” starring Melissa McCarthy, Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) and Kathy Bates is now casting paid movie extras in Chicago.
“Michelle Darnell” is about to wrap in Chicago but Chicago area Melissa McCarthy fans have a final chance to be cast in a small role in her newest movie. The film’s casting directors, 4 Star, are seeking male and female talent ages 18 to 75 to work as extras in a scene filming Wednesday in Chicago, Illinois. The extras will be playing pedestrians and Sox fans and the scene will be filming in US Cellular Field where the White Sox play.
Melissa McCarthy plays Michelle Darnell, an industry big wig that gets busted for insider trading by the feds and sent to prison. After doing her time, Michelle gets out of the slammer and is ready to prove she can be America’s new sweetheart, however, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget. According to the movie’s IMDB page, also starring in “Michelle Darnell” are Peter Dinklage, Kristen Schaal, Kristen Bell, Kathy Bates and Tyler Labine. The project is based on a character created by Melissa McCarthy and written by Ben Falcone, Melissa McCarthy and Steve Mallory. Ben Falcone will be directing the comedy. “Michelle Darnell” is filming this summer and will be hitting the movie theaters on April 6, 2016.
