MTV’s Awkward is now filming season 5 in the Los Angeles area and casting young adult extras to be featured on the new season of the show.
MTV’s teen comedy is created by Lauren Iungerich. The show centers around Jenna Hamilton played by Ashley Rickards. The show is set in Palos Verdes, California where Jenna has an identity crisis after an accident she was involved in gets misconstrued as a suicide attempt.
Last October, MTV officially renewed “Awkward” for a 5th season that will be split into 2 parts. The show’s new season is filming in and around the Los Angeles area and is seeking to cast extras for scenes that will be filming in Valencia this coming Monday. The show is seeking background talent between the ages of 18 and 24 for a prom scene that will be shooting. This will be a rush call and they are only seeking talent that lives close to Valencia and is able to make it to set within an hour of being called. Also, they are particularly interested in talent that already has their own prom attire that they can wear to the shoot.
