NBC Pilot “Love is a Four Letter Word” is Casting Teens and Adults in Chicago

Casting call for TV pilot in Chicago, Illinois

Producers for NBC are working on a new TV drama called “Love is a 4 Letter Word“. The pilot for the series is beginning production in Chicago and there is a casting call out for extras.

The show’s description reads… It chronicles the collision of race, sexuality and gender roles when three diverse couples put modern marriage to the test. Nadine Velazquez (My Name is Earl, Major Crimes, The League) was cast to take on the lead role in the show written by Diana Son. Velazquez plays Rebecca, a Cuban American who is married to another woman. Rebecca believes they are happy in the marriage but Julie is actually considering leaving Rebecca to reunite with her ex, Nick. Deadline reports that the story originally revolved around a Caucasian couple but following the huge success of “Empire“, the network had asked for the characters to be re-written as a non-Caucasian couple. Son welcomed the idea and NBC picked up the script.
