“Allegiant Part 1” is filming in Atlanta and seeking to cast some thin men and women to play some interesting characters.
The third installment in the “Divergent” series of films is being split into 2 parts and “Allegiant Part 1” is filming now around the Atlanta, Georgia area. The film’s casting directors are looking to cast extras, 18 and over, for scenes filming next week and also in mid June. For the coming week, they are looking for bookworm / intellectual types. The movie is also looking for some very skinny background actors to play what they are only calling “interesting characters”.
The third movie in the “Divergent” series continues the saga of Beatrice “Tris” Prior in post-apocalyptic dystopian Chicago where the population is divided into factions based on their personality traits and affiliations. The factions are meant to curtail free will and those that don’t fit into any of the groups are called Divergent. Divergents are seen as a threat to their society Tris shows equal aptitude with three different factions – for Abnegation, Erudite, and Dauntless. Tris is classified as “Divergent” which makes her capable of independent thought and therefore a threat. In “Allegiant”, Beatrice Prior and Tobias Eaton venture into the world outside of the fence and are taken into protective custody by a mysterious agency known as the Bureau of Genetic Welfare. They also learn the truth about their society and how the factions began. Years back, the government believed that society’s problems were caused by bad genes and attempted to fix the “problem” with disastrous results. The isolated cities are a way to repair the genetic damage caused.
The sci-fi trilogy is based on the book series written by author Veronica Roth. Beatrice Prior is played by Shailene Woodley, Theo James plays Four, Naomi Watts stars as Evelyn and Ansel Elgort will play Tris’s brother, Caleb Prior. “Allegiant Part 1” will be hitting the movie theaters next year in 2016 and “Allegiant Part 2″ will follow in 2017
