Open Auditions for Indie Film “5 Days” in Portland, Oregon

5 Days

Location: Portland, OR

Type: Film

Open casting call for the short film, ‘5 Days’, a romantic comedy about an eccentric boy who thinks he’s figured out the exact time of his death and what he ends up doing with his last 5 days. Auditions to be held on June 24th at the Multnomah Arts Center, room 29 from 7pm-8pm. Filming for this project is scheduled to begin in the fall.

Seeking talent for the following roles:

Evan (Male, 15-18)

Evan has never really stressed much about his appearance, this results in him looking a bit like he slept in his clothes every day (and often times he doesn’t just look like it.) He spends most of his time reading scientific studies or pouring over star charts and math equations trying to do the impossible and find out when he will die. Because of this fixation on his death, he doesn’t bother with social interaction; friends would be a liability. Though this sounds horribly depressing, Evan doesn’t see it as so. Life is a temporary thing and there is no point in trying to avoid the end.

Blake (female, 15-18)

Blake isn’t drop dead gorgeous at first glance, she has one of those faces that grows on you. She wears mostly band t-shirts and jeans. She is pretty insecure but she tries her best to hide it by acting like she doesn’t care about anything. This aloofness intimidates others and they typically stay away from her because she is ‘too cool.’

Mom (female, 38-55)

Mom has been separated from her husband for nearly two years. She has always been a very loving mother but it’s hard to be supportive of a son who comes to you at least once a week convinced that they have finally found the correct formula to predict their death.
