NYC Workshop of a National/International Touring Concert

Performances: August 6th – August 9th, 2015 in NYC
Length of Contract: July 13th – August 9th 2015
Salary: $800 PER WEEK. Per diems, travel, and housing (provided only for those from outside the Greater Metropolitan area).
WORLD TENORS UNLEASHED! is seeking nine strong, extraordinary, creatively diverse tenors for their NYC workshop presentation of a new National/International touring and televised theatrical concert.
Workshop presentations will be held at the Theatre at St. Jean’s (formerly DiCapo Opera Theatre) 184 E 76th St, New York, NY 10021.
This theatrically staged concert will be a musical event that showcases the vocal prowess and musical versatility of NINE amazing tenors, and will inspire us all to experience the world through the universal and unifying language of music.

SEEKING:
[MALE TENOR SINGERS] World-class tenors of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds who have great musical versatility. Must be comfortable in multiple styles including, but not limited to: Blues, Classical, Country, Pop, R&B, Broadway, Jazz, Funk, Gospel, Reggae, Soul, & Rock. Especially interested in tenors versed in regionally specific styles of singing (Irish, K-Pop, Latin, Italian, South African, Hindi, etc.). Tenors must be able to move well and handle light choreography and musical staging. Ability to read music and sing in more than one language is a plus.
Please prepare a brief (32 bar) piece in the style of your choice that best demonstrates your skill, as well as a short selection in a contrasting style (Blues, Classical, Country, Pop, R&B, Broadway, Jazz, Funk, Gospel, Reggae, Soul, & Rock). You may or may not be asked for a second selection. Bring your book of music repertoire and a picture and resume, stapled together. Callbacks will be May 15th, with possible additional callbacks late May/early June.
