(Drama) A mother’s dark secret interferes with her moving forward with the most difficult decision of her life that may either jeopardize or safeguard the lives of her and her children.

Tunnel Vision, a Short  Independent film will be shooting in the Northern Virginia area this coming spring, 2015. Both union and non-union actors may apply and the film will be submitted to film festivals. Lead roles are available. See the list of roles below for more information.

Tunnel Vision” is a drama about Rose’s struggle with domestic violence in the midst of what seems to be a picture perfect family. While hiding her secret of being a victim for years, Rose takes a risk only to find herself clouded in her decision-making losing hope in her and her children’s future. Will Rose ever see past her lackluster reality? (Based on real events.)

Frank, husband to Rose and father to Chris and Zoe, is a thirty to forty-something-year-old with a very confident and commanding demeanor. He has a humble appearance, put-together, and is a successful architect to the public eye, but becomes very condescending behind closed doors. Rose is the one person he has control over.

[ZOE TAYLOR] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 12-14] [ETHNICITY: CAUCASIAN] [MUST BE MUSICALLY INCLINED – PREFERABLY VIOLIN OR CELLO BACKGROUND]

Zoe, a private school girl, is the oldest. She remembers all the arguments and sounds of abuse in the house growing up. Now, a pre-teen, Zoe is at a place where she is fed up with her so-called father and wants to run away from home. She is very reserved, always on her phone, and is very protective of her little brother, Chris. Zoe is a violinist.

Chris, adopted, has a love for superheroes. He is completely oblivious to the abuse that his mother, Rose, endures. He is always smiling, playing superhero around the house.

Miss Maggie is Chris and Zoe’s school bus driver. She has a very sweet Southerness about her.
