NOW CASTING:THE REVOLUTION CABARET
Vicarious Liaisons announces open submissions for its new performance corps, The Revolution Cabaret.
Staging theatrical adult cabaret, including burlesque, music, and other interdisciplinary performance, The Revolution Cabaret will seek to change the perception of what is possible from the burlesque community in Toronto by exploring its capabilities in their most theatrical sense. Performers will be drawn from both inside and outside the direct community and emphasis will be on collaborative and collective work to execute the artistic vision of a director. Production goal is currently three to four mainstage concept shows per year, with possible off-shoot shows or private/festival bookings in between. First show will be mounted in late Fall 2015.
The following positions are being considered:
Vicarious Liaisons will be looking to cast performers with specialties in all disciplines to act as regular members of the show companies. A cast of approximately twelve performers will be chosen based on casting needs and availability for each show produced, but the performer corps could grow as large as twenty five based on the varied talents and abilities presented.
