“Vikings” Season 4 casting call information
The hit History Channel show is filming in Ireland and there is a casting call out for a child in the Dublin area who is available to work multiple days this summer. The show is now in production of the 2016 season which will premiere next spring. Please note that the show films in the Wicklow and Dublin areas and talent must be local in order to be considered. “Vikings” is casting a 12 year old boy who is 4′ 8″ tall with fair colored hair.
“Vikings” recently held a series of open casting calls in Ireland. Reports claim that season 4 will have some huge scenes and the show was looking to cast around 8000 extras at the previous open casting call.
Vikings has been a solid hit for History channel. The show includes quite an international cast and is directed by Michael Hirst (The Tudors). For anyone who hasn’t seen the series… it stars Travis Fimmel stars as Ragnar, a Viking who has been rising to power quickly by killing the competition. Season 1 started with Ragnar, a farmer rising to power as an Earl after having killed the existing earl and claiming his position. By the end of season 3, he has killed his way all the way up to the title of king. His quest for land and power takes him and his group on a journey to England and at the end of season 3, which just ended, the Vikings stormed the gates of Paris but suffered heavy casualties as a result of the raid.
