The Diary of Nandi Strong-takes you into the life of Cynthia Beaumont. Fresh out of college, Cynthia is determine to shape and define life on her own. As looking for work seems slow coming, she begins side hustles to keep her money from running out. Dating begins to go well, but then she unexpectedly finds love with an old high school sweet heart. She finds herself in conflicted rediscovering love while keeping her virginity intact. Cynthia’s story is also narrated by Nandi Strong, a love struck blogger who inserts her own experiences and expertise in her “Strong Woman” way.

She also tells bits of her own story with no filter. Nandi is invisible involved for the most part, you never know where she will pop up. Cynthia has been blogging to her site every day since college.
Cynthia Grace Beaumont

Cynthia is athletic, medium build and very beautiful. She is very confident and particular about her overall presentation. Her dress is stylish even on a sick day. She exercises every morning and has a regular appetite. She loves coffee in the morning. Cynthia is naturally funny in her own quirky way and not afraid to try different things. She doesn’t like clutter, but is not a neat freak. She doesn’t like to waste time, but does have her down moments. She is a very bubbly, ambitious, strong minded woman and when she makes her mind up nothing can stop her from going after her goals. She is determined to grind until she reaches her goals in every area of life. Cynthia is quick and efficient in preparing for anything. She began writing to the Nandi Strong Blogsite while in college. She has a degree in journalism, but also is an actor and artist amongst other talents. Her speech is very proper and, but with moments and gestures of “attitude.” Cynthia also expresses herself through blogging, but also through a daily journal. Her family and love life has constantly been a weak point for her due to the fact that many of the men she has dated are intimidated or she does not connect with them. She desire to be married, but she refuses to settle. Her facial expressions always show what she is going through, but always brings her back to looks of confidence. Her family life is strained because of her ambitions and the fact that she is a dream chaser. She was raised by her aunt in an upper middle class neighborhood.
Julissa Angelique Cranford

Julissa is Cynthia’s spicy best friend who is bold, mouthy and quick witted. She is also humorous, insightful and has an “in your face” attitude. She knows when to be street and when to be boardroom in her mannerisms and speech. Julissa is emotionally damaged, never explaining fully how she feels and is always ready to fight due to her upbringing. She is too comfortable in her less than fashion forward appearance. She loves to eat and makes any food work out for a meal, but secretly battles with her weight. Julissa is from a less glamorous neighborhood, but they were determine to grow up together and go to the same college. Julissa graduated before Cynthia and went on to law school. She allows her career to consume her while living vicariously through Cynthia. She became a reluctant public defender wanting more for her clients’ lives. Julissa troubled upbringing always makes her feel that even with her law degree, she did not measure up to her friend so she takes on a sort of mothering role to Cynthia to hide. Julissa was raised by her mother. Her father had open affairs in their neighborhood which brought embarrassment her mother. Because of depression and grief over a failed marriage she became ill and passed away while Julissa was in law school. Julissa was burdened with funeral expenses and education costs.
Drew Jordan Randall

Drew is Cynthia’s true love interest. Drew is also Cynthia’s brother figure He keeps a smile as he loves to joke, dance, cook and acts like a player who’s always entertaining the ladies, always telling Cynthia and Julissa how a man is supposed to treat a woman. He is very attractive and dresses well. He is single with no children and longed for Cynthia to be his wife. He fears that he’s missed the chance of being with Cynthia. He is also Dia’s business partner and male model.
Symone Adele Beaumont

Simone Beaumont is an accomplished writer and teacher. She is slim, beautiful and etiquette conscious. Her style is classy. She is a calm quiet woman most of the time who always talks as if she’s in theatre until she gets upset. She’s well educated and loves all kinds of music. Simone and Cynthia have a close relationship. She is a strong willed self-sufficient woman who believes in being stable and dreams are for hobbies. She married into wealth and fought to keep a middle class life for Cynthia. (When investment stocks fell through, she sold her books to hold onto the wealth). She is having a difficult time adjusting to Cynthia being gone. She feels that she didn’t teach her enough about life and is surprised about Cynthia’s decision to move. She is unaware of Cynthia’s reason of leaving.

Beverly is Cynthia’s Stylist and confidante. She is a neat freak and is particular about Cynthia’s look because everyone she styles is a representation of her boutique and brand. With one eyebrow raised, she is over protective and always inspecting Cynthia’s choices of anything.

Kevin is Cynthia’s failed date. He is tall, handsome, and arrogant always saying the wrong thing. He’s laid back and carefree wanting and expecting things to be easy because HE wants them. Kevin went to high school with Cynthia and Julissa. He was raised in the same neighborhood as Julissa, but seen his mother do everything for him and his father. He always had a crush on Cynthia and hoped that they could become closer. He has a false view of beautiful women; that they are shallow airheads.

Chris is one of the gawking men who has been trying to find a way to meet Cynthia. He is subtle; watching and thinking about his surroundings and who he is with. Sometimes he is slick with his words, but not on purpose. He is also a laid back, confident entrepreneur who doesn’t want to get married until he is stable. He becomes her boyfriend who ends up becoming a business partner.
