Casting Call Notice
From the creators of “Hi:Hater: The Documentary,” Dewar Empire Films presents “The Scenes,” a new concept variety sketch comedy series presently in the experimental/early development stages. Dewar Empire Films seeks men and women of ALL types between the ages of 21-55. We will be pulling from the submitted pool of talent at various times for various sketches. Talent with improv experience encouraged to apply, but all types welcome. WARNING: Some sketches will be controversial, and stereotypically offensive to sensitive individuals. Applicant discretion is advised.
Imminently, we are seeking the following types for the following sketches:
“The Profile” Sketch
1. African-American Male(s) Entourage (25-39): Must have the ability to look, dress, and talk “hood.” NYC accents preferred, but all welcome.
2. White Male Police Officers (35-49): Clean cut. Talent with their own access to law enforcement costume and/accessories will be given primary consideration. All other talent still welcome to apply.
3. African-American Male & Female Bystanders (21-40): All “hood” neighborhood types.
“The Hood Posse” Sketch
1. African-American Male(s) (25-39): Seeking six (6) actors. Must have the ability to look, dress, and talk “hood.”
“Meet The Flies” Sketch
1. Stacey (African-American): Mid to late teens, bubbly, stylish.
2. Mrs. Buzzy (Caucasian): Mid to late 40’s, upbeat, the matriarch.
3. Mike Buzzy (Caucasian): Mid to late 40’s, family man, traditional, patriarch.
4. Jon Buzzy (Caucasian): Mid to late teens, cynical, troublemaker, the son.
5. Sarah Buzzy (Caucasian): Early 20’s, moody, defiant, difficult, the daughter.
6. Amanda Buzzy (Caucasian): Mid to late teens, proper, momma’s girl, defensive.
There is no pay for this project due to its experimental/developmental nature, but credit will be given.
