“The Driver” – Short film, drama, 20 minutes.
Synopsis: Two underage jocks crash a gay party, with hopes of getting served alcohol.
DOLPH – Male. Appears to be about 17 years old. Athletic build. A wholesome, military hopeful. – Stranded at a gay birthday bash, Dolph is feeling out-of-place until he meets Jo, the only person he can relate to. However, his attraction to Jo is tempered by the fact that he’s not sure if Jo is male or female. Contains language and some sexual content. Actors for this role should be 18 or over, but possess an “underage” appearance.
BRENT – Male. Appears to be about 17 years old. Athletic build. An underachiever/rebel. – Tonight is the anniversary of his father’s suicide, and Brent is determined to get drunk by gate-crashing a drag queen’s birthday bash. This character will play electric guitar at the party, so musical talent desired, but is not a requirement. Actors for this role should be 18 or over, but possess an “underage” appearance. Contains language and some sexual content.
JO – Male or Female. Early 20s. Completely androgynous. – The unofficial bartender for a wild birthday bash, Jo keeps everyone questioning whether s/he is male or female. Jo wants a relationship that is founded on more than gender. Bartending skills desired, but not required. Due to the nature of this role, both Male and Female actors will be considered. In either case, actor must genuinely “pass” for either gender. Contains language and some sexual content.
CHARLIE – Male. 50 years old, but could “pass” for early-40’s – A “sugar daddy” who enjoys the company of younger men. – Tonight is Charlie’s 50th birthday, and he’s hosting a big bash at a cabin in the woods. All goes according to plan until “the one that got away” makes an unexpected appearance. This character appears playing piano and singing to his guests at the party, so musical talent desired, but is not a requirement. May contain sexual content.
FRONT PORCH COUPLE – about 20 and 40 years old – Older/Younger gay couple making out shamelessly at the entrance to Charlie’s birthday bash. Contains sexual content.

Auditions will take place in Bloomington, by appointment, between May 15th and May 29th. Production will take place in mid-July, lasting approximately one week.
We will be shooting mainly overnight at various locations in and around Bloomington.
Performers will be compensated, as follows: Per Diem (TBD) – This is a “micro budget” project, but we do not expect actors to work “for free.”
Performers will also receive screen credit, and a copy of the completed film.
