Synopsis: If this family that is full of drama and chaos can change for the good, anyone can….
Director is Casting for the following roles:
Grandma- (lead) age mid 50’s, must be able to sing and dance, Southern woman, wealthy, loving, supportive, great story teller, gives good advice, silly, and loves her grand daughters, is hip to new age things, able to dance around with the girls
Theresa- ( Lead) age 16, who found out she is pregnant and distraught, understanding, respectful, good listener
Anita- (lead) age 17, must be able to dance, Theresa’s teenage sister who is more outspoken with less manners (Ghetto), loud and upnoptious
Young She-She- ( Lead) age 8, A young pudgy girl who stutters has seizure disorder and often gets verbal abuse from father for being like her mother. She often has dreams of becoming a big star one day and having better life.
Adult She-She-(lead) must be able to sing age in early or mid 30s, great mother to her five kids. happy and boastful when she gets spoiled by neal until he changes and she becomes severely depressed and cries out for help from God. Finds the love of writing poetry through her pain. Has visions, loves helping others, strong, courageous, and victorious, and successful singer in the end
Young Vivian- age 7 She-She’s younger sister who is feisty and protective over her sister often helps sheshe out
Adult Vivian- early 20s ability to play piano is a plus
Trey– age 15- She-She’s brother approx age 15 loves his mother and sisters protective
Trey- age mid 30s comes to visit family he hasn’t seen in years . loves his sisters and mother. Friendly, happy family type ma
Dallas- age 17 She-She’s oldest brother approx age 17 tough guy look ( muscular)
Momma (Rachel)- age mid 30-40s She-She’s mother who gets abused by her husband and runs with her girls to a women’s shelter. Supportive and loving mother and child of God has great faith
Daddy- age mid 30s-40s- ( act like Ezel from the movie Friday kind of)Abusive, Angry man, alcoholic, prideful, humor in his own drunk way who becomes a Changed man later. quick on his toes always moving around and talking, hustle man type, sweaty, loud talker
Neal- age 30s must sing. Arrogant, Abusive, Slick, l clean cut lady’s man who gets saved
He is She-She’s boyfriend and father of two of her kids who is convinced that he made She-She and wants to destroy her any chance he gets
Mika- age 15-16 She She’s oldest teenage daughter who is responsible and a good big sister
Tyson- age 13-14 She- She’s oldest teenage son who loves his mother
Nya- age 10 She-She’s middle daughter kind of annoying
Evan- age 8 She-She’s youngest son age 8 whine and tattle tells on Nya all the time
Nivia age 2- She-She’s baby girl
