Disney – Auditions for singers
Disney is holding auditions for the lead roles of Bruce, Crush, Dory, Marlin and Nemo and more this month in the Orlando Florida area (Kissimmee).
Disney World productions is casting for an on stage performance of Finding Nemo, the Musical, an original musical production based on the Disney / Pixar hit animated feature film, “Finding Nemo“. The show will be performed at the Disney Worlds Orlando location and the company is seeking both male and female singers for the lead roles as well as ensemble roles. Musical theater performers interested in the roles are welcome to come to the open casting call which will be held at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Rehearsal facility in early 2015. The show will be performed live on stage at the Disney World resort in Orlando Florida.
“Finding Nemo” is an underwater adventure about a clown fish named Marlin who sets out to find his son Nemo. Nemo, in an attempt to prove himself swims too close to the surface and gets caught by a diver. Marlin along with the forgetful Dory set out in a search of Nemo who ends up in a fish tank in a dentist’s office. Along the way they encounter a host of ocean dangers including sharks and jellyfish.
Auditions will be held on the 9th of January, 2015 for male and female singers. If attending, please be sure to note the requirements towards the bottom of this notice. All roles are for singers who are 18 years of age or older.
Please note that this production will be holding auditions for both male an female singers on the same day, but there are different call times for male and female vocalists. Be sure to get all the details below to make sure that if you attend the open Disney call that you have the correct times.

Dory – Female. Mid – 20s. A forgetful, yet very optimistic lady fish and Marlin’s companion during this journey. Extremely quirky and an expert with comedic material. Character singer, comfortable flying at heights. Must weigh less than 183 lbs.
Nemo – Female. Early 20s. Plays youthful boy. Adorable, endlessly curious, spirited, childlike and fearless, yet at the same time naive and vulnerable. Bright and youthful mix or belt.
Additional ensemble roles, not identified above, will be cast from this open call.

Crush – Male. 20s – 30s. Laid back and fun-loving “surfer dude” turtle. Wise old father with the ability to rock. Helps Marlin get to Sydney. “Beach Boys” high tenor, must have effortless, sustained, full voice/mix high ‘C’.

Marlin – Male. Mid – 20s. Over-protective yet very loving father, vulnerable. Huge heart, great comedic talent. Scared of virtually everything. Baritone, able to handle musical ‘patter’ and flying at heights. Must weigh less than 183 lbs.

Requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 and authorized to work in the United States.
Please bring a current headshot and resume.
Please prepare the best 16 bars of a musical selection and provide clearly marked sheet music, in the correct key, for the accompanist. Prerecorded accompaniment or a cappella auditions are not allowed.
Please note: Actors appear as themselves while at the same time manipulating a puppet of their specific character.
Talent interested in auditioning for the Disney show does not need to make an appointment in advance. They may simply show up at the call date with the required materials.
