Hindi Dance Drama: US/Canada Tour

Nrityenakatha is now recruiting female and male dancers/actors/musicians/artists (Ages 16+) across North America to be a part of a Hindi dance-drama production that shall tour throughout the US and Canada starting June 1, 2017. Apply to be a part of this epic experience!
WHO WE ARE: Nrityenakatha is devoted to showcasing the captivating tales of ancient Indian literature through the language of dance. We intertwine Indian semi-classical dance and Garba/Raas to create our own unique dance style. Dances are set to vibrant soundtracks in the semi-classical, Hindustani genre.
AUDITION FOR DANCERS:
Submit a video audition that best represents your skills in Indian classical dance, Garba and Raas, or a combination of both styles. It can be a past performance or a new dance audition video. You do not need to be the choreographer of the piece.

AUDITION FOR VOICE ACTRESSES/ACTORS
You will be the voice of our production and must be able to fluently render Hindi dialogues.
Submit an audio of you performing a short dialogue in Hindi. You can use lines from plays/movies or write your own dialogue.

APPLY FOR ROLES IN PRODUCTION
If you are interested in getting involved in the logistics of the production, there are a variety of roles you can apply for:
Production Coordinators: Design props, costumes, digital backdrops, music/sound effects
Marketing Coordinators: Advertise tours/performances, promote the troupe via social media/website, reach out to different channels/organizations to propagate our name
Financial Coordinators: Search for funding opportunities, maintain the budget of the company and tours, contact potential sponsors, write grants.
Video/Photographers: Capture footage of performances and practices, conduct troupe photo shoots, edit/design professional videos of performances or intro-videos.
