When Sin Comes Knocking

When Sin Comes Knocking is a non-union gospel stage play produced by Unlimited Praise Productions. The show will be holding auditions on 2/20 for actors, singers and dancers.
Auditions will be held at Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center, 4305 Degnan Blvd, Leimert Park and the performance will take place in the Los Angeles area. Please note that all roles are non-paid.
“When Sin Comes Knocking” is a love story about a Christian couple who is committed to weather any adversity together until a chance encounter threatens to rock the foundation of everything they believe. The question is will their love and commitment be enough to save their marriage?
Auditions:
Saturday, February 20, 2016, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

If you wish to audition, please go to http://whensincomesknocking.weebly.com and complete the “Contact Us” form in the link from the menu option to the left of the Title, “Unlimited Praise Productions” in the black bar at the top of the page. Click the three bars to select “Contact Us.” Please enter which type of role you are auditioning for in the “Comment” section (i.e. dancer/singer, actor/singer, aerialist/dancer, singer only, beatboxer, etc.). You will receive a response email within 24 hours containing your audition time frame.
What to Prepare:
Actors: 1-1.5 min. monologue
Singers/Beatboxers: 2 min. piece that demonstrates your range/ability.
Dancers/Aerialists: 2 min. dance. Bring your music CD and we encourage you to demonstrate your unique skills.
Bring a Headshot to the audition. Photos will not be returned unless you provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Rehearsals Begin: Week of March 6, 2016, every Saturday and Tuesday. Complete rehearsal schedule TBA.
Performance Dates: 5 Saturday Shows, June 4 – July 2, 2016
Casting the following roles:
- MILLICENT (FEMALE, AGE 25-35) – Loving, quick-witted young Christian woman who is very attentive to her husband. She is smart and beautiful. She is independent yet traditional. Role requires singing and some dancing.
- KYLE (MALE, AGE 27-38) – Well educated man who is a very principled Christian but he is not stuffy. His word is his bond. He’s lighthearted and thoughtful. He loves his wife and cherishes his relationship. Role requires singing.
- BRANDON (MALE, AGE 30-40) – Slick and manipulative. Very articulate and communicative. Doesn’t believe in God. Role requires singing.
- WANDA (FEMALE, AGE 20-38) – Flirtatious and indulgent. Role may or may not require singing.
- MIDNIGHT ANGEL (FEMALE, AGE 50+) – Loving and matronly. Tender but strong.
- FEMALE DEVIL (AGE 20-35) – Flirtatious and free-spirited.
- MALE ANGEL/DEVIL (AGE 25-38) – Strong, well built, and no nonsense.
- FEMALE DANCERS, AERIALIST, SINGERS, BEATBOXERS (AGE 18+)
- MALE SINGERS, BEATBOXERS (AGE 18+)
