Casting for Web Series “Roses are Blue” in Houston, TX. Project will be in production Mid-to-late October, as well as possibly Spring 2017.
A story of a young woman named Rose and those who make up her life. Raised by her aunt in Houston with her 2 sisters after her parents died she is the cornerstone to everyone in her life, despite the tragedies and hardships that have befallen her. Although she is strong, everyone has their breaking point.
Non-paid copy/ credit with some compensation. Meals and some wardrobe allowance.

Available Roles:
- Rose: A 26-32 year old African American female. She is a single mother of a 6 year old little girl. Level-headed and loved by everyone around her. Always the strong one and keeps it together.
- Jacob: A 27-35 year old african american Male. 5’10” or taller. Articulate and clean cut. He is a divorced father of 2. Engaged to Rose.
- Deacon: a 21-27 year old African American male. 6′ or taller. Very intelligent. Volatile and can be dangerous.
- Laila: A 21-25 year old African-American female. Roses youngest sister. Self-centered and makes questionable decisions at.
- Alexandra: A 29-37 year old African-American female. The oldest sister to Rose. Very protective of her sisters but she is also fragile and angry at what life dealt them. She is a police officer.
- Madison (Aunt Madi) A 45-50 year old African American female. Roses Aunt. Loves her nieces but resented having to take them in and she was very young herself. Hates their father.
- Chase Montgomery: 26-32 year old African American male and father to Rose’s daughters. They co-parent well and he and Jacob have become good friends.
- Janet McClain-Johnson: 50+ well-together African-American female. jacob and Deacon mother.
- Tony Johnson: 50+ African-American male. Very proper, a square and makes corny jokes that he laughs at himself. Janets new husband.
Need be also available for a photo shoot for promo.

Resume must include: height, age, weight. No acting experience is necessary.
If I like your resume and headshot, I will send dialogue for you to submit a video audition. You will have 48 hours to memorize and submit the dialogue back to us.
The finished product for the first episode will be premiered at a local cinema in Houston
