Seeking experienced, seasoned Indian/South Asian actors for staged reading of a single scene from a new screenplay.

The reading will be held at WGA headquarters on 10/27/16. Network and Industry executives will be present.

THE GHOST OF SUBHIKSHA is the story of an eccentric reclusive genius who is forced by family tragedy to take care of his nephew over a summer.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:

“UNCLE” AJEET MAJI – East-Indian, mid-to-late 60’s, a recluse, a genius with the wit of a bear trap. Add equal parts of Doc from Back to the Future, the Dalai Lama, and Elon Musk then shake vigorously.

ADVIK “ADDY” KAPOOR – Indian, late teens to early 20’s, a native Angeleno, a good son, an incredible nephew, and Ajeet’s best and only friend. Addy is a street-smart kid who’s just discovering his own voice and his place in the world.
