Melissa McCarthy’s upcoming comedy, “Life of The Party” is casting lots of small roles in Atlanta
McCarthy is in the Atlanta area filming her new comedy “Life of the Party” which she is working on with her spouse, Ben Falcone. Melissa McCarthy (“Ghost Busters“, “Identity Thief,” “Tammy”) stars in the film and Ben Falcone is directing the comedy feature. According to the movie’s IMDB page, also cast in the film are Julie Bowen, Gillian Jacobs, Debby Ryan, Maya Rudolph and Chris Parnell. This will be the 3rd film the husband and wife team are doing together. The pair worked on 2014’s Tammy and 2016’s The Boss.
A casting call is out in the Atlanta area for locals who would like to land a small, non-speaking role in the film. The extras call just went out and mentions that the film is about to wrap so ATL locals who would love a chance to make some extra cash by working as paid movie extras should get those submissions in ASAP. Casting directors at Atlanta’s CL Casting state that there is only a week and a half left until “Life of the Party” wraps.
The movie lists a May, 11 2017 release date will will put it up against another movie currently filming in the Atlanta area, Marvels “Avengers 3” which is currently called “Avengers: Infinity War.” The upcoming Avengers movie has a release date just 1 week prior, on May 4th 2017. “Avengers 3” and “Avengers 4” will both be filming in the Atlanta area back to back and Avengers has an open casting call out right now.
