“Baywatch” is now filming in GA and looking for lots of local talent.
The movie’s casting directors just added many more roles that they are looking to fill for scenes filming this coming week.
The movie is described as a comedy and stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron as prospective lifeguards at a southern California beach. Alexandra Daddario will also be starring in the upcoming feature film as the female lead.
While the film in set on a California beach, much of the upcoming movie is actually filming in both Georgia and Miami. “Baywatch” is currently in production in the Savannah , Georgia area. Rose Locke Casting, the extras casting director for the film are looking to cast some local Georgia talent to fill many small / extras roles in the production. There is a new casting notice out for Beachgoers, Tourists, Yacht club types, yacht workers, DJ, couples, blue collar types, police, band members and other types to work as paid background extras in scenes filming next week.
The “Baywatch” remake is being described as a comedy. Efron and Johnson have expressed their excitement about the project. In an ET interview, Johnson stated “The cool thing about this is we want to make a movie that’s big, fun, epic, and all the things that you want,” he added. “We want to make sure that it has edge and badass action and dirty jokes.” Efron mentioned that the “Baywatch” movie will be R-rated and “badass,” quite different from the 90s TV series that inspired the film. The original “Baywatch” TV show was a prime time, NBC, soap opera that starred David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth and many others. The long running show ran from 1989 to 2001. “Baywatch” followed Veteran lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (David Hasselhoff) as he managed a team of ever changing younger lifeguards working on a sunny beach.
