Boston Rock Opera Presents HAiR!

Boston’s original rock opera theater company seeks actors who think they can rock, musicians who think they can act, dancers, drummers, acrobats, the experienced and/or enthusiastic to audition for our original staging of the classic “tribal love rock musical” HAIR. Be a part of something exciting and relevant and stretch your skills with a diverse and inspirational theater company.
Performances will be October 21, 22, 23 at ONCE Ballroom in Somerville.
Come prepared to sing 32 bars of a song of your choosing a cappella (or bring your own accompaniment.) There will be a piano.
Please also prepare 32 bars of one of following songs from HAIR: Aquarius, Frank Mills, Flesh Failures (Let the Sunshine in), Sodomy.
The music director will be there to accompany you on these songs.
Wear comfortable clothing as there may be some short group movement exercises.
Dancers should present a short solo movement piece or group piece.
If you have videos, resumes, headshots, websites and other promotional materials and links we will look at them as well. (You can also post info about yourself in the comments here, if you wish.)
We welcome diversity in all its forms.
HAIR features a multi-racial cast.
You do not need to wear long hair or get naked to perform in this upcoming production.

From the Red Line Davis Square Station, exit on the Busway side and walk down College Ave. The church is at the corner of College Ave and Francesca Street. Enter through the door on Francesca Street. Drivers: Park in Davis Square, on College Ave, or on Broadway. Most of the streets in Somerville are resident parking only.
