School and Community Performance Auditions

Diversita Opera Arts Company is having open auditions for school and community show performances (classical, spirituals, and jazz) for 2016-2017. These shows last between 45 to 60 minutes, and these are paid positions. Some will consist of different arias, art songs, duets, and small ensembles. These performances will take place in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area in Texas. Our mission is to promote music education, unity, and diversity with our performers through music.

You can also send these items to our facebook page in a message at facebook.com/diversitaopera . Please save info@diversitaopera.org to your contact list to make sure our response doesn’t go to junkmail.
Requirements: For operatic auditions, please record two arias of contrasting styles (one must be in French, German, or Italian).
For jazz or spirituals shows, please record two jazz or spiritual pieces of contrasting styles.
To be considered for all shows listed, please record one aria in French, German, or Italian. The next selection should display a jazz or spiritual piece.
Submissions are open until October 5th, 2016. Please send material as soon as you can. We will contact all performers via email or phone. We encourage classical singers to list opera scenes or ensembles that they have done in the past as an introductory in the email submission.
