So You Think You Can Dance The Next Generation Holding Auditions for Kids Nationwide

“So You Think You Can Dance” 2016 auditions have been announced and this season, FOX is changing the script.

Update- The deadline is approaching! There are only a few days left to submit for this show with a deadline of March 1. 

Fox made the announcement that their hit show “So You Think You Can Dance” is coming back for another season and this one will be a kids edition  and Dance auditions for kids wanting to be on the show has now begun.

Casting directors for the show have a nationwide talent search going on right now for kids… who think they can dance. The show is casting kids between the ages of 8 and 13 to compete on the show alongside “So You Think You Can Dance” celebrity all-stars. The casting search is open to child / tween dancers in all states and submissions are now being accepted.

Fox renewed “So You Think You Can Dance” for Season 13. The show will feature the “Next Generation” of dancers and promises to add an All-Star twist to the show. Season 13 of the hit reality dance competition will feature up and coming young dancers who will be paired up with seasoned veterans.

The “So You Think You Can Dance” casting team is looking for kids who are proficient in contemporary, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, animation or break dancing. Auditions will begin in the Los Angeles area on February 27th and those wanting to audition may see the information on the FOX website or follow the casting teams email submission instructions below.  The 2016 season of SYTYCD  is being called  “So You Think You Can Dance The Next Generation”  and will premiere Monday, May 30 at 8 p.m. on Fox.   Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo will be returning to the show as the panel of judges and Cat Deeley is returning to host.

In a Variety report, David Madden, President of Entertainment at Fox said the following…

“We are so happy to bring back the award-winning ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ for a 13th season this summer with a brand-new format… The series has captivated its loyal fan base for over a decade, inspiring young dancers across the country and transforming the face of dance in every medium – and we’re so excited to feature a young and talented new group of performers on the series.”
