Youth actors, singers, dancers for Kids Club Music Hour

Hoppettes and Hopsters (boys or girls age 8-14) to sing, dance, act in a weekly Kids Club Music Hour, an interactive music show for for young children and their families in Austin Texas.
Youth must already have some experience on stage with theatre, singing and or dancing. Outgoing and bouncy personalities are a plus! This is a great opportunity to gain some stage experience and have fun too!
What: a weekly show for families and young children – combines interactive music, drumming, dance time and a “come to life story” on stage with costumed characters, big puppets, sets, audio video backdrops and more. Features music with Johnny & Sharon and special performances with Cowboy Nick and Amber & the Hoppettes.
When: Sundays 10:00am – 11:00am
Where: Local Theater – downtown area
Specifics: Youngsters will have opportunity to:
– sing kids songs (traditional favorites)
– dance on stage (simple choreography),
– interact with young children (pass out scarves, shakers, rhythm sticks),
– act as a character or puppet in a short 3 minute story on stage
– help behind stage with backdrops, scene changes.
Rehearsals:
1x week – (2 hours – after school to be scheduled)
Day of show (1 hour – 8:00am Sundays)
Other:
-Training/Instruction/performance tips will be provided at No Charge.
-Performance is not paid.
-Parents are encouraged to help promote show, help with snack table and admission table.
-Volunteer opportunities available for sounds, costume design and set design.
