From Gettysburg to Baghdad

My name is Artie Knapp and I am an author and filmmaker based in Cincinnati. This July, Mr. Derek Polen and I will be producing and co-directing my science-fiction story titled From Gettysburg to Baghdad. The story is about two soldiers whose lives cross path because of a time-machine. The finished film will be approximately 10 minutes long. Upon completion, the film will be submitted to numerous film festivals, science fiction conventions, and other distribution outlets.
We’re currently seeking actors for featured roles in the film. These are non-paid roles. Compensation will be in the form of a finished DVD copy of the movie, food, and fantastic exposure of your work.

If you have a website with video of yourself acting on camera, then please inform us of that in your initial email. Otherwise, please just send a photo and acting resume to our addresses. If there is interest in you for a specific part, you will be sent scenes from the script in which to act out on video. Someone taping you on a cellphone will work just fine for this part of the process.

CHARACTERS
Dr. Frederick Gibbons – Renowned scientist, Dr. Frederick Gibbons, is as controversial as he is respected among his peers. He is convinced that time travel is possible based on different dimensions. Seeking a male actor in the 41 – 62 age range.
Tolliver – Dr. Gibbons’ trusted assistant – Seeking an actor or actress in the 25-38 year range.
Captain Fulton – A recently promoted Confederate soldier, Captain Fulton is brought into the future by Dr. Gibbons’ time-machine. Seeking a male actor in the 33 – 48 age range.
Private Jeffries – Weary and tired of war, Private Jefferies is torn between reporting back for duty and going AWOL permanently. Seeking a male actor in the 19 – 30 age range. This role will require an actor with great emotional range.
