Auditions in Baltimore for Lead Roles in Short PSA About Train Safety

LEAD ACTOR FOR SHORT PSA VIDEO (NON-SAG)

The video begins with a father and daughter in discomfort, not sure how to talk to each other while waiting for a train to pass. As they begin to talk, they have a humorous moment where they struggle to communicate. The conversation ends on a moment of warmth and connection just as the train finishes passing the grade crossing. The objective is to produce a warm but also humorous video that will hook the viewer’s attention and acknowledge that parent/child communication can be difficult.

Location: We will film locally, in Baltimore, MD

Potential Shoot dates: Production will occur in April of 2017 on one of the following weekends, based on talent and crew availability:

Weekend of 4/14-4/16
Weekend of 4/28-4/30

SEEKING ACTOR TO PORTRAY FATHER:
Age: Mid-30s to Late 50s; must look fatherly and warm

Role: Looking for an actor with skills in improvisation. Must be able to truthfully depict the relationship between father and son through an awkward yet heartwarming conversation. The role will have spoken dialogue that is loosely scripted.

A makeup artist will be provided; Actor will provide his own wardrobe and hair.
Participation Stipend: $250
Time Commitment: Main Actor must be available for 1 full weekend day (8 hours) and one session of rehearsal (2 hours).

SEEKING ACTOR TO PORTRAY DAUGHTER:
Age: 15-22; must look like a high school student.Role: Looking for an actor with comedic talent and the ability to improvise. The role will have spoken dialogue that is loosely scripted.

A makeup artist will be provided; Actor will provide his own wardrobe and hair.
Participation Stipend: $250
Time Commitment: Main Actor must be available for 1 full weekend day (8 hours) and one session of rehearsal (2 hours).

SEEKING ACTOR TO PORTRAY CHAINSAW MAN:
Age: Between 20s and 40s male that is tall and lanky, possessing (preferably long) hair that can be styled to look unkempt and greasy.

Role: Looking for an actor who is capable of evoking terror in others yet also can portray the thoughts of an adult concerned about the safety of teens crossing train tracks.
A makeup artist will be provided; Actor will provide his own wardrobe and hair.
Participation Stipend: $350
Time Commitment: Main actor must be available for 1 full weekend day (10 hours) and two sessions of rehearsal (2 hours each; 4 hours in total).
