Joe: An Episodic Drama

This fifteen part series follows the lives of four friends who discover loyalty through betrayal, compassion through selfishness, and the redemptive power of creativity. Shot in stop-action, the 3-5 minute episodes feature Joe as a veteran struggling with memories of a war he enjoyed fighting, maybe too much. Other characters include Claire, Emma, Chad, and the neighborhood hip-hop artist Abdul, who represents Joe’s salvation.
Joe (Caucasian, 30’s-40’s): Former war hero now back home, alienated and out of sorts. Living with Claire, having an affair with Emma, and trying to make sense of the lyrics pounding in his head.
Claire (Caucasian, 20’s-30’s): Always beautiful, always perfect, never late. Hard-charging real estate agent who loves nothing more than sealing the deal.
Emma (Caucasian, 20’s): Claire’s younger sister. Twitch-playing millennial who hasn’t yet found her place in life.
Chad (Caucasian, 20’s-30’s): Joe’s best friend, awkwardly sincere, unabashedly shallow. Committed to developing a personal brand and selling the data plan that’s right for you.
Abdul (African American, Teens): Aspiring hip hop artist who wants to live the gangster life as inspiration for his songs.
Brad: (Caucasian, Teens): Neighborhood high school kid who hides a secret life as a drug kingpin.
Dr. Phillip (Caucasian, 40’s-50’s): Psychiatrist who dispenses advice and keeps his eye on the clock.
Lt. Johns (Caucasian, 40’s-50’s): No nonsense police commander who’s got Joe’s number.
