Looking for trained singers, dancers and actors for an Improvised Musical Theatre Project.
Improvisational acting experience preferred, but please audition if you are a strong singer and/or dancer who is comfortable improvising movement or song.
All styles of dance welcome, Jazz and Contemporary training a plus.
Arrive ready to move, sing and have fun. Audition is fully improvised and held in groups, so there is nothing to prepare in advance.
About the show:
Improv Cabaret is Denver’s most innovative Musical Improv show, playing at The Bovine Metropolis Theatre since 2015. Directed by Kat Bond (Second City Training Alum) this show combines improvised theatre with Fosse-inspired Dance and live piano and singing to create a brand new Musical every show. Inspired by Cabaret and Chicago, we strive to combine musical theatre and vaudeville for a show as unique as the cast.
Rehearsals are once a week from 7-9:30 on Sunday nights and shows are on varying Wednesday’s and occasional weekend nights. Commitment is ongoing and can be terminated at will. This is a volunteer position. All performers must be 18+ (contact with questions, exception might be made for performers who will be turning 18 very soon. Permission from director required.)
