An unfortunate chain of events forces Milton Young to give up his dream of playing professional baseball and return home to the town he fought hard to escape. Once home, Milton faces seemingly insurmountable economic and personal hardships including needing to defend himself against a tragic crime that could send him to prison for life. A heart-warming story about perseverance, faith, triumph, and the struggle to never let go of a dream.

Milton
(m) – 18, athletic, sought after high school pitcher. Only child to Ted and Katherine. Struggles with personal calling to pursue baseball. At odds with his father’s ambition for Milton to inherit and run the family farm that’s been in family 5 generations.
Katherine
(f) – 40’s, homemaker, mother of Milton. A loving and kind spirit spent her entire life in this small rural town.
Ted
(m) – 40’s, stern, dirt poor patriarch of the family farm. Married to Katherine, father of Milton. Knows only farming.
David
(m) – late 30’s, angelic yet world-weary transient. Lifelong passion is to bring comfort, love, wisdom, and healing to all during their time of need.
Sherriff Darden
(m) – 50’s, Friendly small town sherriff, a true community advocate and 30+ year guardian of the towns 6,000 people.
Deputy Jones
(m) – 40’s, anxious, disturbed, jittery. Recently transferred from a neighboring “big town” precinct. He always seems to labor under a cloud of suspicion.
Danielle
(f) – 18, Sweet, attractive, and innocent, Milton’s biggest cheerleader whether he’s on the mound or on a tractor.
