This is a short film.
Jane, a newly divorced woman, sneaks into someone’s backyard. There’s going to be a little girl’s birthday party soon, and Jane isn’t invited. We realize that the girl is Jane’s daughter, and Jane has brought her a present – but she has to stay hidden or her ex-husband will kick her out. Jane puts the gift on top of a pile of presents and starts to leave, but runs into her ex. It doesn’t seem like he’s willing to let her back into her daughter’s life.
The production shoots for one day (August 26) at a home in Valencia, CA. We are looking to cast Jane’s ex-husband. Some info about the role:
Male, 30s/Early 40s. It’s been a few months since the divorce, but he’s slowly putting his life back together again. A birthday party for the kid would be a nice return to normalcy. Everything has to be perfect for his daughter, so he won’t let his potentially unstable ex-wife screw anything up.
