Audition for a Disney movie this weekend.
If you live in and around London, UK, you have an opportunity to attend the open casting call this Sunday for the new Disney Aladdin Live Action movie.
The upcoming Disney movie is a live action adaptation of the classic Aladdin story. The worldwide talent search has been on for some time now and a casting call was released back in March for actors interested in trying out for the speaking, lead roles in the movie. Guy Ritchie will be helming the project and the movie’s casting team is looking for fresh, undiscovered talent that can sing, dance and act.
Cindy Tolan Casting is holding a casting call young adult actors between the ages of 18-25 who are triple threats. The Disney movie auditions are for the lead roles of Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. Specifically, the casting team is looking to cast actors who can sing and dance and dance experience is a huge plus. Disney’s Aladdin held an online open casting call some weeks back which stated that they were staying true to the Middle East setting of the story and were hoping to find actors who looked Middle Eastern. The studio originally released Aladdin in 1992 as an animated film directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. The previous animated film was based on the story of “Aladdin and the magic lamp from One Thousand and One Nights.”
Disney’s “Aladdin” movie is set to begin filming in the UK between July–January 2018.

Disney casting directors may also still be accepting online / video auditions. Actors may still able to send in their video & online auditions to the casting directors for review. Please see the this page for information about the video auditions for the Disney movie.
Please note that the casting directors are only considering talent that are over the age of 18 for the roles.
The website Digital Spy reports that applicants will need to be available from the end of May for rehearsals. Filming is set to begin mid-August and is scheduled to go through January of 2018.
Open calls for the roles of Jasmine and Aladdin will be held this weekend on Sunday the 14th of May at the Old College Building (formerly the Cochrane Theatre) in Holborn, London between 10:00am and 3:00pm.
