A major cable network is searching nationwide for a family that refuses to conform to the hustle and bustle of city life. Producers are looking for homesteaders living a sustainable lifestyle off the grid — whether you just recently relocated the family to the most remote area of your state, or you have decades of experience living unplugged, we want to hear your story.
What is the most beneficial aspect of taking your family off-grid and being self-sufficient? What skills have you honed to live successfully without the comforts of the city? Have you become an expert farmer, carpenter or hunter? This new documentary series will provide an in-depth look into the life of a family divorced from life “as we know it.” But how different from city folk is the family that’s chosen to live this way? Or are there actually more similarities than differences?
