Ashes on the Fire Escape

I’m currently casting a short film set to shoot mid February.
Synopsis: Doc is romanticizing the past escapism of her younger self. Lorna is battling demons of her own trying to break free of a confing home life, struggling with drug abuse. The two connect over their different points in their sobriety, and talk about life on Doc’s fire escape. The two are closer than they know.
DOC, 30s, Straight laced but still has faded tattoos, Professionally and emotionally committed to her work as a doctor but struggling through her past trauma.
LORNA, 20s, Punk, rebellious young twenty year old, trying to find her place in the world but unsure of her abilities. Struggles with substance abuse.
DAD, middle aged, Strong presence, stern, manipulative. Cares about his family but shares it in toxic ways.
Auditions will be held on 1/25 starting at 4pm and 1/26 starting at 6:30pm in Lincoln Park.
Callbacks will be on 1/29.
