Chard Gonzalez Dance Theatre is looking for skilled and versatile dance theatre performers to audition for EYE CANDY to be premiered in San Diego and Los Angeles April/May 2018.
Who should apply
An invitation is open to Southern California dancers and/or actors with an interest in discourse about beauty. Artists with high level of improvisation skills are especially encouraged to apply.
How to apply

About the work
“EYE CANDY” is about cultural perspectives of beauty. We will uncover our own biases and learn about our audience’s ideas about what makes someone or something “beautiful”.
Using multiple approaches such as setting phrases and devising improvisation tasks, Chard Gonzalez (director/choreographer) will collaborate with movement artists, actors and a dramaturg to structure an evening length dance theatre performance piece.
