Auditions for lead roles for a N.W.A. Biopic – “Straight Outta Compton”.
The film is produced by Ice Cube and will be directed by F. Gary Gray, the director behind “The Italian Job”. The film has chosen to open auditions to aspiring and unknown actors who can realistically portray the members of N.W.A. when they were teens and young adults.
“Straight Outta Compton” will portray the rise of one of the most famous and controversial rap groups ever, N.W.A. – The group that gave rise to such mega stars as Dr. Dre and Ice Cube.
The films directors are looking for unknowns who can portray these rap icons when they were a part of N.W.A.
Can you rap? Do you look like a young Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy E, Yella or MC Ren? If you do, here is your chance.
Straight Outta Compton will be directed by Gary Gray (Law Abiding Citizen, The Italian Job) and the casting call for this biopic has just gone out. Ice Cube and Matt Alvarez are producing this project and the widow of Eazy E is also involved.
The film is seeking young and unknown talent aged 18 to 25 that can portray these rap legends. The films director is specifically looking for newcomers to play these roles. The roles auditions will be held for are Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Yella and MC Ren.
To be considered for these roles you must submit a video audition as well as other information to the casting directors for consideration.
Casting directors are looking for people who can nail these roles for this feature film about the rise of these legends.
Casting is now officially on and production should be starting soon so get your submissions off ASAP!
