The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Nene Leakes, is launching a clothing line and will be holding an open casting call for ‘curvy’ models in November. We know Nene is all about fashion and style and now she is proving it with her own line!
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes has a reputation for looking fabulous, no matter where she is and is starting an fashion line for ‘curvy’ ladies. Nene loves her designer labels, but her new line aims to please those that want the high fashion look, without the high fashion price tag.
Her fashion idea is not a new one, Nene has actually been talking about it since last year when she announced the move and was in negotiations with global brand licensing agency Beanstalk about her launch. I guess the details were finally worked out because Nene and her new clothing line are now casting models!
Nene is no stranger to magazine covers and modeling herself. Over the last few years she has graced quite a few style mag pages and has a spin-off show on Bravo ‘I Dream on Nene”, which covers her wedding.
Last year Beanstalk commented that they would “leverage NeNe’s position in pop culture to offer consumers fashion-forward, affordable apparel and accessories, designed to empower women to walk into a room and ‘own it’ — like NeNe herself.”
Nene follows the path that quite a few other reality stars have set which extends their reality TV fame into other markets. Sheree Whitfield of the Atlanta Housewives also started her own clothing line.
Nene’s Casting call for models will take place in Atlanta (Grant Park) on the 13th and is open to ladies that are a size 10 or above.
“Look out for my clothing line coming soon.” Nene recently tweeted as well as “I love black cocktail dresses!” she says. “I love black, period”.

Plus sized women (or at least a size 10 or above)
Women must be 21 and over and at least 5’7″ without heels
The model auditions will take place on November 13 at Bar One Atlanta from 4 to 7 p.m.
Please bring a pair of high heels with you to the event!
