ABC’s new series “American Crime” Casting a Co-Starring Male Role in Texas

John Ridley’s “American Crime” is looking to fill a co-starring role in an upcoming episode.

Third Coast casting is looking for Caucasian males ages 18 to 22 to play teens in a juvenile hall.

The scenes will be filming between the 28th of this month and the 8th of next month in Austin Texas. The casting company is only interested in talent that is local to the Austin area or within a reasonable driving distance. You must have Texas residency and a valid Texas ID to be considered. Actors interested in the role are asked to submit a headshot, full body shot as well as a resume for consideration.

Oscar winner John Ridley (12 Years a Slave) is working on a brand new project to ABC Television. “American Crime” tackles the heavy topic of racial tension in America and its effects on American society. The show begins with a murder that becomes racially charged. The series explores the issues through the investigation, arrest and trial that follows and through the lives of all the parties involved in the crime and the trial. “American Crime” is written and produced by John Riddley and backed by ABC studios. It is set in the Central California city of Modesto but actually films in the Austin, Texas area.

All over the news are reports about a young couple in Modesto, California, who were attacked in their home. The case sends shock waves into the community stirring up tensions across racial lines in this gritty drama. – ABC Television.

American Crime” is set to premiere midseason and is part of the ABC 2014-2015 lineup. The show stars Emmy-winner Felicity Huffman, Oscar-winner Timothy Hutton, Penelope Ann Miller, W. Earl Brown, Richard Cabral, Caitlin Gerard, Benito Martinez, Elvis Nolasco and Johnny Ortiz.

Please list your general availability Mondays-Fridays between July 28 – August 8.

Please include: name, age, phone #, location (Austin?), and height/weight. Attach plenty of clear, well-lit, current photos in high resolution – including both close up photos AND full length photos that accurately display your current look. Attach a resume or list any acting/stand in experience you might have.

IMPORTANT: Must be Texas resident w/ valid Texas ID (driver’s license, identification card, student ID) who lives in (or at least nearby) to Austin, TX since shoots days can change at the last minute.
