Casting Call for Featured Roles and Background Talent on ‘Empire’ in Chicago

Casting Background actors in Chicago for Lee Daniels new show ‘Empire‘

Season one of Lee Daniels ‘Empire‘ is in production and the show’s CD’s have released a few casting calls for featured extras and background for scenes that will be filming this week and next. The new drama series has a few roles to fill which include scruffy men to play roadies, very well dressed men and women to play rich types, an Asian chef and a male with a shifty look to portray a limo driver. The show is filming in the Chicago, Illinois area this fall.

Lee Daniels and Danny Strong who both worked on Lee Daniel’s The Butler together now have a brand new drama television series in the works. The new FOX series is called EMPIRE and takes viewers behind the scenes and into the drama of a family run hip hop music company. “Empire” stars Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson and Gabourey Sidibe. Terrence Howard (“Hustle & Flow”) plays Lucious, an ex street thug who has now become a music mogul and heads up a major hip hop music label.

The roles are listed below and please note that the roles have different work dates as well as different instructions for talent submissions.

For our next episode for the TV show, “Empire” we are searching for male Caucasians to play roadies for a band. WE are looking for skinny, scruffy Caucasian guys! If you can work multiple days (approx. five days) from Tuesday, November 4th through Thursday, November 13th, (we don’t shoot weekends) send your photograph with your current hairstyle along with your height, weight, age, and phone number to empirevips@gmail.com and put “roadies” in the subject line.

Searching for males and females 40’s/50’s who look rich with designer clothes to go to a club. If you can work on Thursday, Oct. 30th for the TV show, “Empire” send your photograph with your height, weight, age, and phone number to empirevips@gmail.com and put “Oct. 30th upscale” in the subject line.

Searching for a real Asian Chef who can work a one-day shoot on or around Monday, November 10th. This is for our TV show, “Empire.” If you can work let us know your chef experience and send your photograph in your chef outfit to empirevips@gmail.com and put “A Chef” in the subject line. Include your height, weight, age, and phone number.

The series is also looking to cast a male, Caucasian, to play a limo driver, ages 30’s to 50’s. If you can look like a shifty guy, all the better. This will be a one-day shoot.
