Texas Paid Extras Call
The NBC show “Revolution” will begin filming more episode in Texas…. well now that the holidays are over…. and they are casting paid extras that have NOT yet worked on the show.
Casting directors at On Location Casting (Austin, TX) are seeking male and female extras ages 18 to 65 for some scenes that will be filming around the Austin area beginning next Tuesday. Casting directors will only be considering locals for this project. Please DO NOT submit if you are not from the Austin Texas area.
“Revolution” is a sci-fi / post-apocalyptic show that chronicles the plight of a group of people who are trying to survive in a chaotic world where all electronic devices stopped working after a massive blackout. The blackout brought mass chaos when things we are so accustomed to such as electrical power were no longer available and governments fell.
The show is created by Eric Kripke and produced by J. J. Abrams (Bad Robot). “Revolution” airs Monday nights. The series has been renewed for a new season. The pilot for the series was directed by Jon Favreau whose other projects included the block busters Iron Man, Iron Man 2 & 3, The Avengers and Cowboys & Aliens.
Please note – Extras will be paid $64.00 for 8 hours plus overtime paid after 8 hours, if there is any. Casting directors are only looking for people who are local to the area. Please do not apply if you do not live in the San Marcos area or in that area. The casting notice mentions that they are only looking for people who have not worked on the show previously and have proof of Texas residency.

**ONLY able to book those who are NEW FACES and have not previously worked this project!!
—MUST BE A TEXAS RESIDENT with proof of residency (TX Driver’s License, TX ID Card, TX Voter’s Registration Card, TX College ID) in order to be booked for work on this project—
Pay rate is $64.00 for 8 hours plus overtime paid after 8 hours (if necessary).
Seeking the following:
URBAN COMMUTERS: male and female, all ethnicities, age range 19-65, variety of city types going to/from work
SUITED EXECUTIVES: male, all ethnicities, age range 30-60, clean-cut, conservative, professional, should have your own suits (men) and business attire (women)
JOGGERS/RUNNERS: male and female, all ethnicites, age range 19-40, fit, athletic, should be an avid runner/jogger who doesn’t mind doing it over & over in a scene
BIKE MESSENGERS: male and female, all ethnicities, age range 18-35, fit, prefer REAL bike messengers who have their own gear (clothing, helmet, bike, etc). Will consider others if you have a bike and are an experienced rider with some biking clothing
LOITERERS: male and female, all ethnicities, age range 18- 80, down and out types, interesting looks
BEARDED COMPUTER PROGRAMMERS: male, all ethnicities, age range 26-45, computer programmer types with a FULL BEARD
We do NOT have Call Times yet so it could be a VERY early morning start and/or could possibly shoot late into the evening/night. You MUST have open/flexible availability if submitting so that you can work WHATEVER the call times ends up being. If not, please DO NOT SUBMIT!
